Saeed Ataallah Ali was one of the commanders of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the military wing of Hamas, who played a fundamental role in the development of armed resistance tactics, especially the planning and coordination of the Al-Qassam Brigades. He was martyred along with his wife (Shima Khalil) and two daughters (Zainab and Fatima) in an attack by the Zionist regime on an apartment in the Beddawi camp in northern Lebanon on October 5, 2024.

The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" announced on Saturday the martyrdom of "Saeed Ataallah Ali", leader of the "Al-Qassam Brigades". This incident occurred in an Israeli bombardment that targeted his home in Tripoli, northern Lebanon. Hamas mourned Saeed Ataallah Ali and three members of his family in a statement following the bombardment of his home in the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp in Tripoli by the Zionist regime. It said: The Qassam Brigades confirm that subsequent responses will be practical, and the leaders of this entity will pay the price for their criminal decisions against our defenseless people and brave mujahideen[2].

The Islamic Jihad Movement Palestine offers condolences to the Palestinian people on the martyrdom of Al-Qassam Brigades commander Saeed Ataallah Ali, who was martyred along with his wife and two daughters in a treacherous target by the Zionists. The criminal assassination operation, through which the enemy targeted a secure residential apartment in the Beddawi camp in northern Lebanon and deliberately killed the martyred leader and his family, is a crime against humanity and demonstrates the hatred that the occupying army has for the mujahideen. Due to inability to confront them on the battlefield after they severely humiliated them. It is the duty of international institutions, especially the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, to put an end to the continuous crimes of the Zionist regime. While offering our deepest condolences to the family and lovers of the martyr and our brothers in the Hamas movement, we ask God Almighty for His vast mercy for the martyrs and patience and forbearance for their families and loved ones[3].
