Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi, known by his nom de guerre "Hajj Abu Musa," was a senior commander of Hezbollah who was martyred on September 24, 2024 CE (corresponding to 3 Mehr 1403 SH) in an airstrike by Zionist regime fighter jets on a building in the "Al-Ghubayri" neighborhood of Dahieh, southern Beirut. He played a pivotal role in planning and commanding numerous operations by the Lebanese Resistance against Israeli occupiers, served as the commander of Hezbollah's missile unit, and headed the Badr military unit (north of the Litani River) during the conflict with the Israel.


Biography

Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi was born on Wednesday, October 10, 1962 CE (corresponding to 18 Mehr 1341 SH) in the Zibdine region of southern Lebanon.


Militant Activities

Qubaisi joined the Islamic Resistance in 1982 CE and was appointed to various organizational responsibilities within the resistance structure.

Planning and Commanding Operations

He played a fundamental role in planning and commanding numerous operations by the Lebanon Resistance against Israeli occupiers between 1998 CE and 2000 CE.

Head of the Badr Military Unit

From 2001 CE to 2018 CE, Ibrahim headed the Badr military unit (north of the Litani River) and also managed segments of Hezbollah's missile infrastructure.

Qubaisi led several missile units of the Islamic Resistance[1].


Martyrdom

Ibrahim Qubaisi was ultimately martyred on September 24, 2024 CE (corresponding to 3 Mehr 1403 SH) in an airstrike by Zionist regime fighter jets on a building in the "Al-Ghubayri" neighborhood of Dahieh, southern Beirut. The assassination operation targeting Ibrahim Qubaisi marked the fifth terrorist airstrike conducted by the Israeli military in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Prior to this attack, the Zionists had assassinated Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of Hamas's political bureau, as well as senior Hezbollah commanders including Fuad Shukr, Ibrahim Aqil, and Ali Karki, though they failed in their attempt to assassinate Ali Karki. Israel's objective in carrying out terrorist attacks in Lebanon is to pressure Hezbollah into halting its operations along the front from southern Lebanon to northern Palestine[2].

Hezbollah (Lebanon)

Hezbollah (Lebanon) issued a statement declaring: The mujahid commander Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi has joined his martyred comrades following an enemy Zionist attack on the Dahieh area in southern Beirut. Hezbollah pledged to avenge the blood of its martyrs against the Zionist enemy[4].
