Ahmad Yusuf Ahmad Abu Halabiya was born in 1952 in Gaza, Palestine. He is married and has eight children. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in 1978 from the Faculty of Sharia at the Islamic University of Medina. In 1982, he earned a Master's degree from the Department of Quran and Sunnah, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, at Umm al-Qura University in Mecca. In 1989, he received his PhD from the Department of Sunnah and Its Sciences at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.
