The First International Quranic Conference "Unity is the Key to Victory"

    From Wikivahdat

The first international Quranic conference, "Al-Wahda Ramz Al-Nasr" (Unity is the Key to Victory), was held in Tehran with the participation of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Shahriari, Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, ambassadors from Islamic countries, and domestic and foreign scholars.

Excerpts from the Speech of the Secretary-General of the Proximity Forum

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Hamid Shahriari, in his address, pointed to the strategic plans of the Zionist regime against the Islamic world, stating:

"This regime is gradually advancing its objectives, and the division of Iraq, Syria, and other nations into smaller states, as well as the seizure of Islamic lands, are part of its agenda. If Islamic countries remain passive in the face of these conspiracies and suffer damage in Syria, the day will come when all Islamic nations will face the same fate, and the Zionist regime will target them as well."

The Secretary-General highlighted the expansion of the discourse on unity among Muslims, saying:

"Through 38 international conferences on Islamic unity, we have raised the call for unity among Islamic sects. Today, Tehran is not alone—this voice is also heard in Mecca, Cairo, and other parts of the Islamic world, heralding the realization of a united Islamic Ummah."

Excerpts from the Speech of the Deputy for International Affairs of the Proximity Forum

Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, Deputy for International Affairs of the Proximity Forum, stated:

"During Ramadan, Muslims perform shared rituals, and their lifestyles become similar—a symbol of Muslim unity. Ramadan is an opportunity that must be cherished, and we must join hands to achieve unity. It is our duty as scholars, intellectuals, and citizens living in security due to the sacrifices of the Mujahideen to make collective decisions in preserving unity and standing against the common enemy. We must always keep before our eyes the banner of resistance and the faces of Shia and Sunni martyrs."

Excerpts from the Speech of Mawlawi Kharokhi

Mawlawi Kharokhi, head of the Council of Scholars of Afghan Migrants, declared:

"The Quran is the book of life, meant to grant us dignity and honor. But do Muslims today live in peace? Are their conditions favorable despite having the Quran? Today, Muslims are in a state of decline because they did not heed the call of God and the Prophet. Despite having the Quran and the Great Prophet, the Islamic Ummah is plagued by division and fragmentation."

    He continued:

"The enemy has sown discord among us and, over the years, has dominated Muslim lands through knowledge, planning, and technology, pitting us against each other. The Quran has shown us the nature of the enemy, but Muslims have not listened. The Quran commands us to be strong against our enemies—but do Muslims possess power, innovation, and invention? Unfortunately, they remain dependent on Western nations. The enemy has occupied our homes with technology and is shaping our youth."

Mawlawi Kharokhi emphasized the need for Muslim unity, saying:

"Today, more than ever, we need practical unity. Colonialism has taken control from us because it holds power. Israel is America’s representative in our region. Today, the people of Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon stand against global aggression, while the forces of disbelief rally behind Israel. If Muslims stand united, the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH) will emerge victorious."

Excerpts from the Speech of Tajikistan's Orator

Salamuddin Mad Amin, the Tajik orator, stated:

"If Islamic society seeks honor and desires faith and reason to govern its life, there is no path but the rule of the Holy Quran. If the Quran descends upon our souls, its blessings will also descend upon us. Today, the Islamic Ummah needs divine promises with reassurance, and they must cry out for the victory of the Ummah so that unity and divine support prevail over Islamic society."

Excerpts from the Speech of Dr. Adel Borul

Dr. Adel Borul, Turkey's religious attaché, emphasized at the "Unity, the Key to Victory" international Quranic conference: "The Holy Quran was revealed for the dignity of Muslims and the reform of humanity."

He highlighted the importance of intellectual independence and preserving Quranic values, saying:

"A person with strong willpower, who does not surrender their intellect to others, can uphold essential Quranic values based on Islamic thought. Our main problem lies in the realm of thought and ethics. In the Holy Quran, three words—truth (Haqq), justice (Adl), and patience (Sabr)—are repeatedly emphasized, and Muslims must make these principles the foundation of their lives."

Excerpts from the Speech of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Hasan Naqvi

At the conclusion of the "Al-Wahda Ramz Al-Nasr" international Quranic conference, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hasan Naqvi, Director of the Al-Muntazar Institute in Pakistan, described the unity of the Islamic Ummah as one of the most fundamental Islamic obligations. He added:

"There are three key principles to achieving unity, which play a major role in the growth and flourishing of the Islamic Ummah:

    1. Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil (Amr bil-Ma'ruf wa Nahi anil-Munkar) – This is a vital social duty and a pillar of Islamic unity with immense societal importance.
    2. Struggle and Jihad in the Path of God – Supporting the oppressed is a human obligation. By unifying around Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon as common causes, Muslims can deliver a crushing blow to arrogance (Istikbar). Unity on this issue is imperative.
    3. Islamic Solidarity in Times of Oppression – At a time when injustice casts its shadow over the world, Muslim unity is crucial. The crimes of the Zionist regime persist due to the negligence of Muslims."

Sayyid Hasan Naqvi concluded by proposing:

"Islamic countries should unite to form an Islamic alliance and establish an international fund where all Muslims can pool financial resources to aid war-torn nations."

    Key Themes of the Conference

    • Quran as the Foundation – The necessity of Quranic governance for Muslim dignity and unity.
    • Intellectual & Ethical Reform – Preserving Islamic thought against external domination.
    • Practical Unity Measures – Collective financial and military support for oppressed Muslims.
    • Confronting Zionism – Emphasizing resistance and exposing Western-backed oppression[1].

    Conclusion

The conference reinforced the idea that without unity, Muslims remain vulnerable to division and external control. The call for an Islamic defense fund reflects growing demands for self-reliance in the Muslim world.[2]
