Methods of Islamic proximity in Imam Reza’s (AS) speeches and life
The title is a research paper by Karam Seyavashi and Neda Soleimani Far published in “Motal’at e Taghribi Mazaheb e Eslami’’, Volume 10, Issue 39 - Serial Number 39, Spring 2015, Pages 73-84.[1] The following is an excerpt from its abstract.
Division of the Ummah
Islam’s Ummah –against divine’s recommendation and guidance was divided for some reasons from beginning days of Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) departure. This point brought damages to Islam’s Ummah for hundreds of years after Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) death.
Solution
Although this should not have happen but from view of wise and compassionate people the solution for this situation was not stoping, crying and looking to the damages. Thus, from the beginning, Imams (AS) which were the most companionate people to Ummah, attempted not only to put diminish the damages but also firmed a useful unity in Islam’s Ummah.
Imam Reza’s (AS) method
Imam Reza (AS) was among these extraordinary Imams and by searching his life we notice that his methods and attitudes was so united and proximate that with stating brotherhood devotion, constructive dialogue, emphasizing on attendance of Ahl al-Bayt’s followers in social and divine ceremonies of other coreligionists, recommend on making moral and emotional relationship with them, promoting wisdom and freethinking and with protecting from religious-governmental unity in Islamic society tried to establish unity and proximity in Islamic Ummah.
