Sheikh Maqbool, known as Shahidullah Shahid, was a prominent member of the Taliban and ISIS in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Military activities
Shahidullah served as the senior spokesman for the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan since the group's formation in 2006. Shahidullah was expelled from the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan on 21 October 2014, one week after pledging allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS,[1].
Death
On 9 July 2015, he was killed in a United States airstrike in Haska Mina District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Another ISIS commander named Gul Zaman, who was from the Orakzai region of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan, was also killed in this strike[2].
