Sayyid Mohammad Akbar Agha is a former leader of the Taliban and a close associate and follower of "Mullah Mohammad Akhtar Mansoor (peace be upon him)", the former leader of the Taliban, and is currently still in contact with the Taliban group.

Biography

Sayyid Mohammad Akbar Agha studied in Pakistan and completed his advanced religious studies in the "Deoband" schools of Pakistan. He studied for two years at Darul Uloom Haqqania under the supervision of Maulana Samir ul-Haq, the principal of the school.

During the war against the Soviet communists, he fought alongside Maulvi "Younis Khalis" along with many Taliban elders, including Mullah Mohammad Akhtar Mansoor, the former leader of the Taliban, in a large jihadist front.

"Sayyid Mohammad Akbar Agha" was considered on par with "Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor" during the Taliban's struggle for power in Afghanistan, and during that period there were four major fronts of the Taliban, with one front line under his command and another under the former Taliban leader. He commanded the Taliban group in Kandahar with Mullah Mohammad Akhtar Mansoor. Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada was also on a front alongside Mansoor. Before his imprisonment, Mullah Mohammad Akhtar Mansoor would come to his home, and they worked together extensively and had affection for each other, meeting and conversing daily.

After the fall of the Taliban, he went to Pakistan and engaged in business activities there. He was arrested by the Pakistan Army Intelligence Organization, imprisoned, and then handed over to the Americans, who brought him to Afghanistan and imprisoned him in various prisons, including National Security and "Pol-e-Charkhi" for five and a half years. He was then released on the condition of not leaving Kabul during the presidency of "Hamid Karzai".
