Achievements

Major General Musavi is one of the main designers of ballistic missiles with precise precision-strike capabilities, which has played a significant role in strengthening the defensive deterrence of Iran. He has participated in the design and production of long-range UAVs with long flight endurance, and these technologies have helped strengthen Iran's defense capabilities. Musavi has played a key role in drafting aerospace force defense strategies and has made effective contributions to upgrading the infrastructure of this force. The IRGC Aerospace Force under the command of Major General Musavi, focusing on missile, UAV, and space defense technologies, plays a strategic role in strengthening Iran's territorial integrity and maintaining the balance of power in the region. This force is considered one of the fundamental pillars in the geopolitical equations of the Middle East.

From the Trenches of the Sacred Defense to the Sky of Victory

One of the symbols of transformation in the military arena is the role of Brigadier General Passdar Seyed Majid Mousavi, the current commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force. During the Imposed Eight-Year War, he was a passionate youth and among the initial forces of the IRGC, gaining direct experience from the battlefronts and participating in key operations such as Valfajr 8 and Karbala 5. These experiences turned him into one of the main architects of Iran's deterrent power in the missile domain; where prior to his appointment to command, as the deputy of Martyr Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh, he played a key role in the development of drone and missile systems.

In the Imposed 12-Day War, which began with the martyrdom of Brigadier General Hajizadeh on 23 Khordad 1404 SH, equivalent to 13 June 2025 CE, as a result of an air attack by the Zionist regime, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Khamenei, in an immediate decree on 14 June, entrusted the helm of the IRGC Aerospace Force to Brigadier General Mousavi. This appointment not only ensured the continuity of leadership, but with the decisive and effective command of Brigadier General Mousavi, Iran was able to strike more than 150 target points in the depth of the occupied territories within 12 days and alter the enemy's equations.

Reports indicate that under his leadership, Iran's missile attacks saturated the Iron Dome defense systems and inflicted heavy economic and military damage on the Zionist regime, while Iran's casualties remained limited. This approach was in complete contrast to the command of the Eight-Year War, where the lack of such power drew Iran into a war of attrition, but today, with the leadership of Brigadier General Mousavi, the Aerospace Force has become a symbol of deterrence that forces the enemy to retreat. Ultimately, these differences demonstrate the strategic depth of the Islamic Revolution: from command based on sacrifice and resistance in the Sacred Defense, to command based on indigenous technology and asymmetric power in the new era.

The IRGC Aerospace Force, under the guidance of Brigadier General Mousavi, has not only kept the memory of the Sacred Defense alive, but has turned it into a tool for future victories. In the Imposed Eight-Year War, Iran stood firm against Iraq's ground invasion relying on sacrifice and resistance, but lacked advanced missile power. In contrast, the 12-Day War of the Zionist regime, with the command of Brigadier General Passdar Seyed Majid Mousavi and the unparalleled power of the IRGC Aerospace Force, displayed a scene of missile and drone deterrence that shattered the enemy's equations [1].

In the Ramadan War as well, Brigadier General Mousavi's key role in designing and developing precise and pinpoint missiles of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the formidable and crushing military responses of the IRGC Aerospace Force against the positions of the criminal American-Zionist coalition was clear and evident, accompanied by the explicit admission of enemy media regarding the high hit rate of Iranian missiles on US military bases in the region and the occupied territories, and the message of this great commander to the Iranian people: "The streets are yours, the battlefield is ours... You keep the streets, we have the battlefield", has always been the main slogan of the Iranian people in the epic of nightly gatherings in the streets and continues to this day[2].
