Salah Abd al-Hafiz was born in the city of Alexandria and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University in 1941 CE, after which he opened an office in the Baler building on Qasr al-Nil Street. Newspapers of the Muslim Brotherhood reported that he joined the fourth battalion of this movement in 1940 CE.

Biography

Since childhood, he became acquainted with Imam Hassan al-Banna through the hawza and students, as he was one of the activists in the hawza and an excellent student, to the extent that a committee was formed for the students. When he graduated from university, tasks were assigned to him by the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Guidance Office selected him as the head of the student section in 1944 CE. From Egypt University, institutions and public schools. In May 1945, he was selected as part of the new Guidance Office, and on 27 November 1947, he was elected to this office for the second time and was also selected in the founding body of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Cooperation with the Brotherhood

In 1945 CE, the Muslim Brotherhood took steps to activate its conference decisions and formed a committee to organize conferences, which was followed in provincial centers, districts, and counties headed by Ahmad al-Sukri, representative of the Brotherhood and secretary of the office of Master Amin Ismail and membership of each of the honorable masters Mohamed Khedri, Hussein Kamal al-Din, Salah Abd al-Hafiz, Abd al-Hafiz al-Saifi, Saad al-Wali, Farid Abd al-Khaliq and Shukri Abd al-Majid.

In June 1948 CE, this group formed the first political committee, in which Salah Abd al-Hafiz, in addition to Saleh Ashmawi, deputy "head" of the office, and Mohamed Taher al-Khashab, one of the members of the office, was selected as a member. And Saleh Abu Ruqaiq, deputy of the communications section and Master Mohamed Abdel Rahman Nasir were selected as "members" from the members of the office, and Mr. Omar al-Tilmisani, another member of the office, was selected as "member". The Brotherhood also sent masters Salah Abd al-Hafiz and Jamal al-Din al-Sanhouri to Sudan between 1944 CE and 1945 CE to spread the call of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Arrest

When all leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were arrested in 1948 CE, including Salah Abd al-Hafiz, who went to prison. No information has been published so far about his release date.
