Jamal Abd al-Sattar is a scholar from Egypt who has extensive activities in various fields of Islamic sciences. He holds higher education in Islamic disciplines and is known as a professor and researcher at Al-Azhar University, and currently holds the positions of Director and Secretary-General of the International Union of Sunni Scholars in Istanbul.
Biography
Jamal Abd al-Sattar Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab, born in 1968 CE in Egypt. He is one of the important figures in discussions related to Islamic sciences who completed his education at Al-Azhar University and has been active in various scientific fields such as teaching and research.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Islamic Da'wah, Al-Azhar University in 1990 - 1991 CE, with honors;
- Master's degree in Islamic Sciences and Studies, Faculty of Usul al-Din in 1996 CE, thesis title Islamic Caliphate and Opposition Movements in the Modern Era with honors;
- PhD in Islamic Sciences and Studies, Faculty of Usul al-Din in 1999 CE, thesis title Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi and His Efforts in Da'wah to God with honors.
Activities
Jamal Abd al-Sattar has served in various positions:
- President of Tajdid Global University in Istanbul and Turkey;
- President of "Bina'" Academy for Training Religious Scholars;
- Professor at Al-Azhar University;
- First Deputy Minister of Awqaf for Da'wah Affairs;
- Member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Egypt.
