Ismail Muhammad Ismail Ibrahim Misbah Nashar was born in 1929 CE in the village of "Al-Qanatirin," in the Markaz of Ashmoun, Monufia Governorate. He belonged to the first generation of the Muslim Brotherhood. He spent sixteen years in prisons. As a prominent preacher of Islam, he traveled extensively across many governorates and cities of the republic and played a significant role in establishing the organizational divisions of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Collaboration with the Muslim Brotherhood

He stated: "I joined the Brotherhood in 1948 CE, at which time I was a third-year intermediate student at Ashmoun Secondary School. Sheikh 'Mane' al-Qattan' was then responsible for schools. He sought to draw me closer and invite me to the Brotherhood, periodically sending me the magazine 'Mabahith,' which the Brotherhood rented from its owner. This magazine contained articles written by prominent Brotherhood authors; I was deeply influenced by all of them, and through them, I came to appreciate the Brotherhood's call. Subsequently, I organized my collaboration through family networks." "I graduated with the aim of collaborating with the Brotherhood, and my life was completely transformed. God became my objective, the Messenger became my role model and leader, and my reference became the Quran, the Sunnah, and the spiritual path. All of this constitutes Jihad."

Arrest

He was arrested while going to meet several of his brothers. He recounted: "I was on my way to visit one of my brothers named 'Ismail al-Shafi'i' in Cairo. A group of us, including myself, were surprised by an investigative force from Rod al-Faraj led by Officer 'Muhammad Abd al-Al.' They raided the apartment with orders to arrest Ismail Shafi'i and everyone present. I was then transferred to a military prison. Upon entering, I was greeted with severe beatings..."

Advice to Young Brotherhood Members

Professor Ismail advised the youth of the Brotherhood, saying: "I offer this counsel to all brothers: I urge you not to neglect the religion of Islam, for it is the source of honor and happiness in both this world and the Hereafter, and the means to salvation. Do not worry about any frenzied media campaign seeking to harm you or your call; it will not succeed until God decrees otherwise."
