Intissar Ghannouchi is the youngest daughter of Rached Ghannouchi, the leader of the Ennahda Movement in Tunisia. She serves as the representative of the Ennahda Movement in Paris and London and is one of the most prominent young leaders within the international Muslim Brotherhood organization, playing a significant role in guiding youth and students in the European Islamic Forum. In her recent media appearances and articles, Intissar has attempted to mobilize the Tunisian and Arab public against the Tunisian government led by Kais Saied, in response to the overt confrontation between the Tunisian state and the Ennahda Movement, which resulted in the arrest of her father, Rached Ghannouchi, on charges of conspiring against the state.

  • She has worked in the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, the United Nations, and the European Parliament, and also collaborates with numerous human rights centers and European research institutions.
  • Intissar is one of the most important young leaders within the international Muslim Brotherhood organization and plays a prominent role in guiding youth and students in the European Islamic Forum.
  • She is a member of the board of trustees of the European Islamic Forum and the European Council of Muslims, thereby serving as the youth wing within these institutions.

Marriage and Residence

Intissar currently lives between France and Tunisia. She is married to "Mowaffaq Al-Kaabi," a member of the Ennahda Movement cadre in Paris and the son of a former commander of the Tunisian army who was accused of attempting a coup against the regime of former President Ben Ali in 1991.
