Ibrahim al-Siddiqi (1915 AH–1989 CE) was a Saudi-Bahraini writer, poet, and educator. He was born in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and studied under Sheikh Muhammad bin Mani al-Najdi. He was dedicated to teaching, delivering sermons, preaching, and propagating the faith. Several manuscripts of his books and poems remain.[1] [2]


Birth and Education

Ibrahim al-Siddiqi was born in Al-Jubail in the year 1334 AH/1915 CE. He acquired his early education through traditional methods at a kuttab. He worked as a teacher, preacher, and mentor. He studied under Muhammad bin Mani al-Najdi. His connections with the princes of Bahrain significantly influenced his social standing; they held him in high esteem, giving him precedence in their gatherings and literary discussions.[3]

He was well-versed in Islamic sciences and Arabic literature. He possessed extensive knowledge of Arab affairs, history, and traditional markets. He spent his entire time at home, where he received friends, engaged in discussions with men of letters, and studied and debated various books.[4]

He supervised the book Al-Dawri, which contains samples of modern Saudi poetry published by the Literary Club in Taif.


Death

He died on the 22nd of Safar, 1410 AH/1989 CE, in Taif. Another source states that he died in the month of Jumada al-Ula.[5] [6]
