Hassan Badir, nicknamed "Hajj Rabi", was the head of the فلسطین file in حزب الله لبنان and one of the close associates of Martyr Qasem Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force, and Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, head of the حشد الشعبی Iraq, who was martyred on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 AD, corresponding to 2 شوال 1446 AH, and 12 Farvardin 1404 SH, in an attack by fighter jets of the army of the رژیم صهیونیستی on a building near the al-Kazim complex at the "Safir - Maawad" intersection in the southern suburbs of بیروت, along with his son, Saeed Ali Badir.


Biography

Hassan Ali Mahmoud Badir, nicknamed "Hajj Rabi", was born in the town of "Namiriyeh", one of the villages of Nabatieh Governorate in southern لبنان. He is the brother of the military spokesperson of حزب الله لبنان.


Militant Activities

Badir was one of the active figures in the structure of حزب الله لبنان regarding the issue of فلسطین and its relations with various factions. He had direct cooperation with Martyr Qasem Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force, and Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, head of the حشد الشعبی Iraq. And according to admissions by Israeli officials, he was one of the members of the Hezbollah and Quds Force unit.


Martyrdom

Reactions

Hezbollah Lebanon

Hezbollah Lebanon announced in a statement that in an attack by fighter jets of the رژیم صهیونیستی on a building in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hassan Ali Badir, one of the commanders of this movement, was martyred. Hezbollah called for participation in the funeral ceremony of Hassan Ali Badir (Hajj Rabi) and his son Martyr Saeed Ali Badir[2].

Lebanese Ministry of Health

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that in the initial casualties of the attack by the Israel which targeted a 9-story building in the Mawood neighborhood located in the suburbs of the target city, four people including a woman were killed and seven others were injured. The targeting was focused on the last three floors which devastated the area and its surroundings.

Hezbollah Lebanon Representative

Ibrahim al-Mousawi, representative of حزب الله لبنان, asked the Lebanese government to activate its diplomacy to stop the attacks by the Israel on لبنان and described this Israeli attack as a very major aggression.

Israeli Army

The Israeli Army announced that it had targeted one of the members of حزب الله in the southern suburbs of بیروت, while the radio of the occupying army reported that the targeted member was directing an attack on an Israeli aircraft in Cyprus.

Lebanese Newspaper Al-Nahar

The Lebanese newspaper "Al-Nahar" reported that one of the victims is the son of Hassan Badir who was with his father in the house at the time of the targeting.

Spokesman for the Army of the Occupying Zionist Regime

Avichay Adraee, spokesman for the army of the occupying رژیم صهیونیستی, also claimed that Badir is one of the members of Unit 3900 of Hezbollah and the Quds Force. He added in a statement that this Hezbollah official has cooperated with حماس in the recent period and directed and helped its members to execute a dangerous plan against Israeli citizens within an imminent timeframe.

President of Lebanon

Joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon, condemned the Israeli airstrike and described it as a dangerous warning about pre-planned intentions against لبنان. Aoun added: The persistence of the Israel in its aggressions necessitates that we make more effort to address Lebanon's friends in the world and mobilize them to support the right to full sovereignty over its territory.

Prime Minister of Lebanon

Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, condemned the attack by the Israel and described it as a clear violation of Security Council Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement. Nawaf Salam emphasized that he is closely following the consequences of the strike in coordination with the Ministers of Defense and Interior[3].
