Ansieh Khazali was born in 1342 SH (1963–1964) in Qom. She served as the former president of Al-Zahra University from 1391 to 1395 SH (2012–2016) and is an associate professor in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the same university. She is also a founding member of the International Union of Muslim Women and the Assembly for Approximation of Islamic Sects.
