Ali Nuwayto was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and one of the most important symbols of the first generation who lived with Hassan al-Banna and was nurtured by him.
Biography
He was born in 1928 AD in the Imbaba region, and then his educational and training journey continued until obtaining a certificate from the School of Applied Arts with a high GPA, and in 1949 AD, he was the first in this field. Despite this, he was not appointed due to the issuance of a ruling stopping appointments to government positions.
Joining the Brotherhood
He joined the Muslim Brotherhood on Thursday, 1948 AD, and remained so until the death of Hassan al-Banna and the announcement of his martyrdom.
Arrest
In 1954 AD, while he was preparing to travel to Germany, Nasser went to the crowd and announced his accusation against the Muslim Brotherhood regarding the design of the famous Manshiya incident and issued an order for the arrest of the Brotherhood everywhere. He says regarding this: In prison, I was introduced to a court headed by Jamal Salem, with Sadat on his right and Hussein Shafei on his left. Later we understood that it was a revolutionary court, and the government appointed a lawyer to defend me.
Activities
"After release, he became Deputy Minister of Roads and Buildings, and thereafter Head of the Scientific Center of the Al-Sharif Group of Companies. At the expense of the government that tortured and arrested him, he traveled the world. He went five times as head of a delegation to Germany and also Sweden, England, France, and Finland, and then to Indonesia, Malaysia, and then to Thailand, Singapore, and Sri Lanka, and to Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the last islands of Indonesia on the borders of Australia.
It is worth mentioning that these twenty years had amazing positive effects on his life; he learned the true meaning of patience. He continued his activity in calling to the Muslim Brotherhood with determination.
Detention Camp
Gamal Abdel Nasser had created a camp in the Wahat region with a capacity of 100,000 prisoners, and this detention camp was divided into four camps with barbed wire. The Brotherhood and Communists were placed in one camp with the aim of killing both groups. But the Brotherhood, thanks to God Almighty, took control of matters, so they told the Communists: The intention is that we slaughter each other, and you know us well. They said: We live peacefully together. The Brotherhood members told them: It is good that a representative be chosen from you and we choose a representative from us. Four years passed like this, with no movement, no canteen, no paper, no pen, no Quran, and the goal was to empty the brain of whatever is in it.
According to him there; "We raised chickens and turkeys and planted okra, potatoes, and hibiscus (seder), and saw blessing in the products, and every day we collected the products and brought diesel barrels and filled them with human 'urine and feces' output and used it as an agricultural fertilizer and one of the strongest fertilizers."
