Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Hassan Fadaq is a Saudi jurist and thinker. He studied Islamic sciences from a number of scholars of Masjid al-Haram and others, especially his grandfather, the leader of the Shafi'i school Hassan Fadaq, and Muhammad Alawi al-Maliki. He completed his primary and higher education in schools and universities in Saudi Arabia and internationally, and engaged in teaching Hadith, Hadith sciences, Islamic knowledge, and Islamic law.[1] He is considered one of the most prominent Shafi'i scholars in Saudi Arabia.[2]


Academic Activities

In 1921 CE, his grandfather Hassan Fadaq established a council for education and teaching in Mecca named "Al-Rawdah", in which scientific circles were held every Wednesday and juristic books were studied and reviewed. He has an active presence in this session.

  1. Hassan Fadaq, who died in 1980 CE.
  1. Muhammad Fadaq, who died in 2001 CE. Muhammad Fadaq appointed his son Abdullah Fadaq during his lifetime to supervise and support the session.
  1. Abdullah Fadaq, who in 1998 CE obtained his father's consent to form another session in Jeddah, which was held continuously every Sunday, and in which, in addition to Islamic activities, propagation and guidance, they dealt with the main books of Islamic sciences.

He provides educational and upbringing consultations, participates in many Islamic law centers and conferences, and addresses various scientific and juristic opinions in many local newspapers and other media.

Participation in the National Intellectual Dialogue Session in the years: (1425 AH / 2004 CE), (1431 AH / 2009 CE), (1435 AH / 2014 CE).
