Abdullah Al-Mutawa was a prominent activist in the field of social activities in Kuwait. He was known for his charitable activities and support for the needy, played an effective role in establishing and supporting charitable and educational institutions, and was involved in the formation and continuity of the Kuwait Muslim Brotherhood.
Biography
Abdullah Ali Al-Mutawa was born in 1926 (CE) in Kuwait. He grew up in a religious and committed family and completed his primary education in Kuwait. From a young age, he engaged in Islamic and charitable activities and had connections with prominent figures in this field.
Political Activities
Abdullah Al-Mutawa was among the most prominent individuals in social actions and was recognized as an effective figure. He contributed to numerous initiatives to improve the political and social status of the people. Some of his activities include:
- Establishment of Al-Manar Al-Islamiyah Library in 1960 (CE);
- Establishment of the Al-Islah Social Society in 1963 (CE) along with Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mutawa;
- Establishment of Al-Najat Private School in 1970 (CE);
- Support for Quran memorization courses.
Activities
Abdullah Al-Mutawa valued the promotion of knowledge and education in society and was active in establishing educational and cultural centres.
Death
Abdullah Ali Al-Mutawa passed away on 10 Sha'ban 1427 AH, corresponding to 3 September 2006 (CE).
