He is the president of the Iraqi Islamic Unity Conference, former head of the Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, and one of the leaders of the Islamic Dawa Party.

Unity of Islamic Sects and Schools

In 2018 AD, the Iraqi Islamic Unity Conference was established in the capital of Iraq, the city of Baghdad, to undertake the mission of bringing together Islamic sects in Iraq and spreading peace and harmony among the people.

Ali Hussein Al-Allaq, who was then the head of the Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, took charge of presiding over this assembly. In this regard, he is supported by fifteen Iraqi figures from Sunni and Shia communities.

Ali Al-Allaq said in a press statement: "After the destruction of ISIS, Iraqis must unite their ranks and grow closer at intellectual and cultural levels to achieve security and stability in Iraq.

He added: "There is no doubt that Iraq is a multi-sectarian country, and Iraq's enemies are always trying to use sectarian strife to create division among the Iraqi people and create conditions for internal conflict. Now that ISIS has been eliminated, Iraqis must unite their ranks and bring them closer at intellectual and cultural levels, and in everything that unites the ranks of Iraq in terms of ideology, culture, and society. On this basis, we agreed to form the Iraqi Islamic Unity as a cultural, social, and intellectual platform and venue among Muslims of different ages and Shias to discuss and exchange views on various topics raised in the country. The council held a conference to announce itself, and this council will hold various meetings to prepare and promote intellectual research and studies between Islamic sects, and to hold seminars and conferences and establish communication and meetings between the people of Iraq, and God willing, we will strive in this regard.

Religious Authority and Palestine

According to Al-Allaq: "Religious authority throughout the history of Islam has been a safety valve and a basis for parental, religious, and social care for all members of the society in which the authority resides. In Iran or in Lebanon, the clergy in Iraq becomes an obstacle to the enemies of the Iraqi people, and Sayyid Ali Sistani is the most prominent authority in Iraq; he pursues the demands of the loyal people and defends their rights and demands their rights, so when he saw that the enemies of Iraq and the owners of terrorism and Takfirism gathered to attack Iraq, he invited the people to Jihad, and this caused popular mobilization and Jihad against ISIS, and finally we were victorious."

As Ali Al-Allaq said: "The Palestinian resistance is fully aware that the violence, injustice, and oppression of the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people will not stop; [only] with weapons, opposing forces, patience, Jihad, and the like, will they retreat. What happened in these fateful days regarding the usurped [rights], there is no one but the heroes and Arab and Islamic people. The international community must stop Israel's continuous aggressions, and they are the ones who have legitimized the establishment of the usurper country of Israel in the Islamic land of Palestine since the mid-twentieth century, even if an international decision is made. When feeling Israel's defeat and trying to save it and preserve its image, regarding traitorous governments and their normalization projects, they are tools in the hands of the enemy to suppress strategic changes in confronting Israel. And the audacity of some of them has reached the point that they condemn the missiles of the Axis of Resistance against Israel, and this disgrace is on 'their foreheads'."

Second International Conference on Islamic Unity in Iraq

Sayyid Ali Al-Allaq stated at this conference: Palestine and Al-Aqsa Flood have been set as the slogan of this conference to be able to identify the roots of the primary issue of Muslims and the dimensions of the Zionist regime's conspiracies in the occupation of Palestine in 1948 CE. Referring to the betrayal of Arab rulers towards Arabs and the Islamic Ummah, their alignment with the Zionist regime and global arrogance, and the surrender of Palestine to the enemy, he said: In this conference, we will examine the stages of confrontation with the enemy, jihad, and resistance to establish an independent Palestinian state over all this land. This Iraqi scholar added: Since the issue of Palestine is our primary issue, all Muslims bear responsibility towards it, which entails the following: Supporting and backing the Palestinian nation in all fields in confrontation with the Zionist enemy and aligning world public opinion with the issue of Palestine, strengthening and equipping the Palestinian resistance in all locations in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, media activity in all written, visual, and auditory media and social networks to express the responsibility of the Palestinian nation in general and the people of Gaza in particular, and to expose the crimes of the enemy of humanity. He continued: Islamic Unity has today turned into a practical project that has gone beyond slogans, and Al-Aqsa Flood paved the way for achieving this sacred Islamic goal. He added: Here, we must refer to the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei in supporting the Palestinian people and resistance groups with all the necessities of jihad, and even direct confrontation with the Zionist enemy using missiles and drones that shook their military bases. He emphasized: Today, the issue of Palestine has become the issue of the free world and nations, and the student uprising in universities is a living example of this great human transformation.
