Biography

Activities

He obtained the position of Secretary General of the Islamic Party by gaining 62 votes out of a total of 120 council members of the party. The party council held its session to elect the Secretary General amidst conflict between moderates and extremists over this position. The moderate movement supported Sheikh Hamza Mansour. While Al-Zyoud was the candidate of the extremist movement. He was active in the Ministry of Education for 24 years. He was the Secretary General of the Islamic Action Front Party for two consecutive terms from 1381 to 1385 AD, and also Deputy in the National Council from 1368 to 1376 (11th and 12th Parliament) and 1386 - 1390 AD, Head of the Parliamentary Bloc of this party in the years 1993-1997 AD and 2007-2009 AD, member and founder of the party and Head of the Party Council and member of the Muslim Brotherhood Council and also Head of the Executive Committee for the Protection of the Homeland and Confronting Normalization and member of the General Secretariat of the Conference of Arab Parties.

He is the Vice President of the International Association of Parliamentary Representatives Defending the Cause of Palestine and former Vice President of the National Mobilization Committee for Support of Iraq. He heads the Green Crescent Society of Jordan and has participated in the management of many charitable and social welfare institutions. He has authored several books and articles on the Islamic Movement and Parliamentary Work in Jordan. He is the current Deputy of the Jordanian Parliament and currently the Head of the Islamic Action Front Parliamentary Bloc. He is also the Head of the Fifth Council of the Islamic Action Front Party. The political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan and its third Secretary General.
