Template:جعبه اطلاعات شخصیت Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Parliament and Director General of International Affairs of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and also has the record of serving as Iran's Ambassador to Manama, Bahrain. He also served as the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestine Intifada. He began serving as the 66th Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the government of Ebrahim Raisi.
Biography
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was born in 1343 SH in Damghan. He received his Bachelor's degree in 1370 in the field of Diplomatic Relations from the School of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Tehran, which was obtained in 1375 SH, and also received his PhD from the University of Tehran in the field of International Relations. He is fluent in Arabic and English. He was also a lecturer at the School of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and had a record of supervising PhD theses at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Tehran. Amir-Abdollahian is also a founding member of the West Asia Studies Center (International Relations Think Tank). Since Mordad 1395 SH, he has been the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Parliament and Director General of International Affairs of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and also served as the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference in Support of the Palestine Intifada. In Mordad 1400 SH, Amir-Abdollahian was introduced to the Islamic Consultative Assembly as the Minister of Foreign Affairs by Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and managed to obtain the confidence vote of the representatives.

Martyr-like Death
On 30 Ordibehesht 1403 SH, accompanied by the President, he traveled to East Azerbaijan to inaugurate the Qiz Qalasi Dam. On the return journey, in the Dizmar Protected Area in the public zone between Varzaqan and Jolfa, the helicopter carrying him and the President of Iran, Seyyed Mohammad Ali Al-Hashemi the Imam Jomeh of Tabriz, Malek Rahmati the Governor-General of East Azerbaijan, and several others of their companions encountered an accident, and all passengers, who were on a mission to serve the people, were martyred.
