Abdul Hadi bin Haj Awang is the leader of the Islamic Party of Malaysia and the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Terengganu in Malaysia, and one of the founders of the Islamic Party in Malaysia. More than ten works have been published by him, including the book Al-Sira' bayn al-Islam wa al-'Almaniyyah fi Malaysia and the book Nizam al-Hukm fi al-Islam.

Education

He studied in Saudi Arabia and graduated from the Islamic University of Medina in 1973 CE, and then went to Egypt. He received his Master's degree in Sharia Politics from Al-Azhar University in 1975 CE.

Works

More than ten books have been published by him, including the book Al-Sira' bayn al-Islam wa al-'Almaniyyah fi Malaysia and the book Nizam al-Hukm fi al-Islam.

Political Activities

He was one of the founders of the Islamic Party in the 1960s. He became acquainted with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and after returning to Malaysia continued his work in the Islamic Party and utilized what he had learned from the Muslim Brotherhood school, which was a comprehensive educational school in his view. He became a member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly in 1982 CE, then a member of the Malaysia Federal Parliament in 1990 CE, and after success in the 1998 CE parliamentary elections, he became the Menteri Besar of Terengganu.
