Tariq Jamil is currently considered one of the prominent scholars of Sunni Pakistan and has taken the leadership of the Deobandis. He also holds a special position among Shia because he is against takfir and a proponent of unity among Muslims. Currently, in cyberspace, including on YouTube, he has more than twenty million followers and viewers. In addition, he has a large seminary whose majority of students are non-Pakistani. Mr. Tariq Jamil is in contact with prominent figures and individuals of Islamic countries. He has written many books, and his collection of lectures has been published as books. One of Tariq Jamil's important books is the book Guldasta Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). In this book, Tariq has expressed important discussions and cited Hadith al-Kisa to prove the position of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Tariq Jamil has been selected as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world.
Biography
Anisabad is a village near the city of Talamba in Mian Channu, and Maulana Tariq Jamil's parents lived here. Maulana Tariq Jamil was born in this village on 23 June 1953[1]. The Lunar Hijri date was 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. His father, Maulana Mian Allah Bakhsh (deceased), was one of the elders and dignitaries of his region. His spirit was religious from the beginning; he had pledged allegiance to Ubaydullah Anwar, son of Ahmad Ali Lahori, and in childhood, Maulana Tariq Jamil also came into his service. He is one of the elders of the Tablighi Jamaat Pakistan[2].
Education
Tariq Jamil studied at school as usual and after completing the stages of education reached college, and from his intelligence and genius, it can be inferred that his academic period at school and university must have been excellent. He now enjoys international fame[3]. He has traveled to the six continents of the world with the Tablighi Jamaat. His statements have been published by his followers on various internet sites. Most people listen to his speeches, and inspired by his ethics, many famous personalities entered the field of Islam. He is a hard opponent of sectarianism. People have differences with each other; this does not mean killing each other; Islam does not permit such things.[4].
Public Popularity
The result of efforts and hard work was that Tariq Jamil went ahead of all companions and classmates[5]. The current situation is that in the city where his statement is expressed, a gathering of ten to twenty thousand people gathers overnight, even if not advertised[6]. He is a man of action and an inviter and possesses various qualities, but is more known as a preacher [7].
Ahl al-Bayt from Tariq Jamil's Perspective
The book Guldasta Ahl al-Bayt is a collection of Tariq Jamil's lectures. In this book, he has expressed important discussions[8]. Tariq Jamil has also used the Verse of Purification to express the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)[9]. In this book, he has cited Hadith al-Kisa to prove the position of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and this book consists of 650 pages in which he has mentioned the life of the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them). In this book, he first expressed the meaning and instance of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and in the continuation of the discussion, he brought famous and well-known hadiths of the Shia school, including Hadith al-Thaqalayn and... to prove the position and status of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)[10].
