Hassanin al-Shoura was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Egypt. He obtained the highest votes in the 2000–2005 CE elections for the Kafr al-Zayat district, then was elected as a representative for the same region for the second time in the 2005–2010 CE elections. Subsequently, in 1984 CE, he was a candidate for the People's Assembly (Egypt) on the Wafd Party list for the Muslim Brotherhood, and in 1987 CE, on the Labor Party list for the Muslim Brotherhood. He participated in many People's Assembly delegations abroad, including the delegation participating in the conference supporting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Lebanon in 2010 CE, and also participated in several fact-finding committees. He was on the list of representatives objecting to the extension of the Emergency Law and also constitutional amendments during the previous regime.


Biography

Sayyid Ahmed Youssef al-Shoura known as Hassanin al-Shoura was born in 1951 CE in Egypt and worked as the Head of the Education Unit. He was married and had five children and six grandchildren.


Activities

  • Representative for Kafr al-Zayat in the years 2005–2010 CE, and was a member of the Transportation and Housing Committee.
  • Representative for Kafr al-Zayat in the years 2000 to 2005 CE, obtained the highest votes at the republic level with 43,000 votes.
  • In 1995 CE, he entered the People's Assembly, and after the victory was announced, the result was forged.
  • In 1987 CE, he was a candidate for the People's Assembly on the Labor Party list for the Muslim Brotherhood.
  • In 1984 CE, he was a candidate for the People's Assembly on the Wafd Party list for the Muslim Brotherhood.
  • One of the founding members of the Coordination Committee of Parties and Political Forces in Gharbia.
  • One of the founding members of the Islamic Association of Gharbia Ma'arif.
  • Treasurer of the Al-Sharia Society in Delgamoun for several consecutive times.
  • Present in many People's Assembly delegations abroad, including the delegation participating in the conference supporting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Lebanon in 2010 CE.
  • Participated in many fact-finding committees, including the fact-finding committee regarding the sinking of the Peace 98 ship and the Egypt Upper Egypt train and human rights violations in Egyptian prisons.
  • Among the list of representatives objecting to the extension of the Emergency Law and also constitutional amendments.

Achievements

Among the most important achievements of the 2005–2010 CE period, the following can be listed:

  1. About 9 million Egyptians are infected with the Hepatitis C virus, and that Egypt is first in the world in terms of the number of infected people.
  2. Urgent question to the government regarding the fate of social security funds that the government had previously taken from insurance funds.
  3. High price of fertilizer and severe shortage of quantities supplied in the market.
  4. Increase in Egypt's trade balance deficit to $11.3 billion.
  5. Destruction of 150 jeribs of Kafr Yaqoub village due to worm expansion.
  6. Urgent question to the government regarding the export of natural gas to Israel.
  7. Urgent statement regarding the sharp and continuous increase in the price of construction materials, especially iron.
  8. Proposal of willingness regarding the creation of a syndicate of legal officials.
  9. Request for immediate notification regarding the waste of public money in sewage projects.
  10. Question regarding the mismatch of wages with the ever-increasing prices.


Death

He died at dawn on Tuesday, 29/1/2013 CE.
