Ibrahim Ni'mat Allah Dhunun al-Ni'ma is an Iraqi Islamic scholar and preacher who served as the president of the Muslim Youth Association in Mosul, imam and preacher of the Hajj Dhiyab al-Iraqi Mosque in the Al-Tahrir neighborhood of eastern Mosul, a member of the Islamic Party of Iraq, a member of the Association of Muslim Scholars, and deputy chairman of the Mosul branch of the Association of Muslim Scholars. He has traveled to numerous countries in Africa to propagate, guide, and spread the religion of Islam.[1]


Birth

He was born in 1361 AH / 1942 CE in the city of Mosul, Iraq.


Assassination Attempt

On June 30, 2005, he was assassinated in his office at the mosque but survived unharmed. On that day, a group of armed individuals entered his office and shot him; the bullet struck his shoulder, and the attackers fled. The city of Mosul witnessed a wave of assassinations of prominent figures and Sunni scholars following the United States invasion of Iraq in 2003.


Participation in Conferences

During Ramadan 1427 AH / 2006 CE, he participated in the Makkah Document Conference, which was signed by a group of Iraqi scholars from various sects, aiming to prevent bloodshed and halt the sectarian conflicts that erupted after the American invasion of Iraq. He has participated in numerous conferences both inside and outside Iraq.
