Naeem Qasem
Naeem Qasem is the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon after the martyrdom of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah. He is one of the influential Shiite figures in Lebanese politics and has many political, social and cultural activities. Since 1991, Sheikh Naeem was the deputy secretary general of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Together with Imam Musa Sadr, he participated in the formation of the “Amal movement” and also in the establishment of Hezbollah in Lebanon. He has also been the vice president of Lebanon's Hezbollah since 1991. He is a member of the Supreme Council of" The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought".
Biography
Naeem Qasem was born in 1953 in the village of Kafarfila in Lebanon. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry in French from Tarbiat Moa’allem University) Teacher Training(in Lebanon. And he continued his seminary education from the beginning at the same time as his academic education. He was a student of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fazlullah in seminary sciences. Sheikh Naeem Qasem has six children, four sons and two daughters.
Activities
He taught chemistry in high school for six years. Then he participated in the founding of the "Lebanese Muslim Students Union".
Amal movement and Hezbollah
He was participated with Imam Musa Sadr during the stablishment of the "Amal movement". Also, he participated in the establishment of "Hezbollah" in 1982 and has been the deputy leader of this party for 5 consecutive terms since 1991.
Other Activities
In 1999, Sheikh Naeem Qasem was the secretary of the intellectual festival of Seyyed Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini's 100th birthday in Beirut. Also, he is one of the members of the “Palestinian Intifada Support Society”. During the hospitalization of Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, in the hospital, Sheikh Naeem Qasem, who had traveled to Iran to participate in the conference "Islamic scholars in support of the Palestinian resistance", went to visit him with a group of scholars from the Islamic world[1].

He has dozens of books in the fields of civil rights, the status of women, the status of teachers, the status of students, the rights of men and women, the duties of parents towards their children, etc.
Also, one of his works is a book with the title of Hezbollah of Lebanon; The policy, its past and future, which was written in 2002 and has been translated into Farsi, English, French, Turkish, Pakistani and Indonesian languages [2].

Your Excellency, having years of experience, insight and commitment to the ideals of the resistance, you have always played an important role in the path of the honor and authority of Hezbollah, and now that you are carrying the blessed flag of Hezbollah and Seyyed al-Shahada of resistance in the continuation of this path. May God Almighty grant you more and more success in serving the resistant people of Lebanon and high Islamic ideals.
With your insight and leadership, Hezbollah of Lebanon can stand against challenges and threats, and by strengthening the unity and solidarity of the Lebanese society, it can take more steps towards realizing its great ideals and defending the rights of the oppressed, especially the Palestinian people.
While commemorating the memory of the great mujahed, Seyyed al-Shohada of resistance , Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Martyr Seyyed Hashem Safiuddin and other high-ranking martyrs of the resistance front, God willing, with the presence of His Highness and the struggle of the resistance warriors and the support of the Islamic Ummah and the awakening of the oppressed of the world, we will witness the complete destruction of the Zionist regime and the fulfillment of God's promise[3].
