On the occasion of Quds Day, he stated: "Jerusalem is a city that has gathered various heavenly religions within itself and should be a symbol of the coexistence of religions, not that a usurping regime imposes its dominance on it and tries to make it a city for the followers of a religion and prevent followers of other religions and beliefs from practicing their religious and worship rituals. Reviving this occasion means declaring open opposition to Zionism and its hegemony and its domination over Jerusalem. A city that is an identity for Palestinians and Arabs and Muslims and all the free people of the world that cannot be compromised or bargained over"[2].

He said at the International Conference on Islamic Unity: "Unity, integrity and unifying viewpoints are the basis and foundation of success for any group and program, and without unity, there is no power. Islamic unity is the destiny of the Ummah; we are an Ummah that has all the necessary potentials to be one of the productive and creative Ummahs; even if we are not at the top of these Ummahs and nations. In our land, countless treasures are hidden; our human resources are full of competence and intelligence; we have a young and energetic population and all these features require a broad horizon and planning and prioritization. There must be committees to follow up on these matters so that we can reach a tangible reality from the unity assemblies[3].
