Objectives of Proximity of the Islamic schools of thought

From Wikivahdat

Proximity of the Islamic schools of thought and unity of the world Muslims in their confrontation with the enemies of Islam is the most exalted ideal of the justice seeking and devoted personalities throughout the Islamic World, and one of the greatest objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Scope of proximity

Some people have assumed that by the phrase 'proximity of Islamic schools' we intend to promote the full lenience of the followers of other schools in observation of fundamentals of our beliefs and scientific thoughts, while making efforts aimed at denying historic facts. But that is quite besides the fact that our invitation towards proximity is meant at promotion of Islamic unity among all Islamic societies, sects, and schools of thought. That is a sacred ideal and a revered objective, based on the teachings of our Holy Book and the traditions of our Holy Prophet (PBUH and his Infallible Household), that guarantees the interests of the world Muslims, both individually and collectively. By blocking the path of discord among Muslims we can attract Almighty Allah's blessings and cease the possibility of their abandonment. We can that way also strengthen the faiths and block the path for the deriding of the Muslims and the exertion of the aliens' hegemony in their lands.

Necessities

It is necessary under the current conditions, when the Muslim nations have in the light of the Islamic awareness movement got aware of the existence of their shared enemy and its malicious intentions, to heed Islam's message of unity, and aim towards re-achieving its grandeur, atop which there is the spiritual grandeur of Islam. That would help the Muslims dismantle the enemies' plots effectively. Moving on that bright path is in need of the revival of religious rationalism, spending tremendous efforts aimed at the elimination of misunderstandings, and the enrichment of the hypothetical foundations of the personal and social behaviors. Based on meeting such prerequisites, a shared language would emerge and expand rapidly for the communications among the Islamic Ummah. Then the culture of holding dialogues would replace the misunderstandings and the Muslims would get rid of their negative aftermaths.[1]
