Investigating the Qur’anic Bases of Mullah Said Nursi’s thought about Proximity

Unity and glory of the Islamic Ummah

“Unity” is one of the most important teachings of Islam. According to many scholars, the realization of the unity of Islamic Ummah is the reason for the return of glory to them.

Mullah Said Nursi and the unity

Mullah Said Nursi, the Kurdish theologian from Turkey, is one of the contemporary reformers, who has important scientific endeavors in the field of unity.

Methodology and objective of the article

This article which is written in descriptive-analytic method attempts to discuss the great Qur’anic principles of this scientist in the context of unity by focusing on the well-known work of Nursi, “Risalah al-Nour”.

Conclusion

According to the results of this research, the most important of these bases are: belief in God, following a unified leader, fidelity to Islamic ethics, and paying attention to understanding and Ijtihad.
