Set up in 1995, the Islamic Unity Society (IUS)<ref>https://www.ius.org.uk/about/</ref> now has over 500 members across the UK. Our membership and audience includes young people aged between 18 and 30. We currently operate mostly in London and Manchester, however we also have projects running across the UK all run solely by volunteers. They have successfully been a registered charity since 1997 (Charity No. 1066910).
As young people themselves, thay are aware of the pressures encountered as Muslims in the west. The IUS hopes to create the security and community that many of us lack. We organise events and offer a wide range of services all year round. In the process, we hope to bring together youth of all ethnic backgrounds to meet and learn from one another. This will also facilitate the future development of our communities.
