Father's Constant Connection with Iranian Officials
The son of Ayatollah Fadlallah said: The Islamic Republic always held a place in the heart of Allamah Fadlallah and his eyes were fixed on it.
Sayyid Ali Fadlallah, referring to Allamah Fadlallah's diligent interest in creating Islamic Unity, added: In a session, he told one of the officials: If things reach a point where everyone stones me or disrespects and insults me, I will not withdraw my support from the Islamic Republic of Iran because the Iran represents Islam and the line of Ahl al-Bayt of the Messenger of God and the front line of the fight against Global Arrogance.
Allamah Fadlallah's will was in the line of preserving Islam, moving in the line of Ahl al-Bayt, preserving the intellectual and ideological heritage of Ahl al-Bayt and introducing them to the world, but he always emphasized the issue of preserving Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.
Regarding reports by some news networks such as BBC, Al Arabiya, and CNN about differences between Allamah Fadlallah and Iranian officials, I must emphasize that these accusations are absolutely untrue because Allamah Fadlallah had a diligent and intense interest in the Islamic Republic of Iran and his relationship with Iran was not a normal relationship, but his interest and connection with Iran and Iranian officials was strong and deep-rooted.
Some time ago, I met with Ayatollah Khamenei and he expressed his feelings and affection for Allamah Fadlallah, and I also conveyed Allamah Fadlallah's feelings and affection for him to him.
Contact and communications between the two sides were always established and never cut off; Allamah Fadlallah, contrary to the claim of these media, had no problem with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
If there were differences of opinion in jurisprudential matters with some other Marjas, it is natural because different Marjas in different places have issued different fatwas and difference in Fatwa is also an obvious matter.

International Conference on Islamic Unity
Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, the Friday Prayer Imam of Beirut, stated in a speech on the second day of the 37th International Conference on Islamic Unity: Many enemies see unity as a threat to themselves, hence they make every effort to tarnish it and prevent this unity from forming among Muslims. Stating that God Almighty and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) sought to create unity among Muslims, he stated: Muslims should make unity the model of their lives. Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, emphasizing that we seek to create peace and stability among our countries, noted: We examine numerous issues through various meetings, and we hope that in these sessions we can deepen unity among Muslims. He then pointed to two solutions for strengthening unity among Muslims and added: The first solution is reducing tension among Muslims and removing obstacles between them, which can pave the way for creating unity. The Friday Prayer Imam of Beirut, stating that many try to extend political differences to religious differences, warned against this matter and said: We must not allow political differences to fuel religious differences. In another part of his speech, noting that insulting each other's sanctities and personal ijtihads can lead to provoking followers of other sects, he emphasized the enemy's use of social networks to fuel differences among Muslims. Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, stating that we must value the steps taken in the past, stated: If the enemy tries to create division among Muslims, it is the duty of scholars to confront this matter and help create unity among Muslims by taking unifying steps. Strengthening the awareness of the Islamic Ummah and managing discourses were among other matters this Lebanese scholar pointed to, adding: A correct insight and proper reading of religious issues can eliminate wrong perceptions towards followers of other sects.
