Sayed Hussain Alami Balkhi was born in 1335 SH (1956 CE) in Char Kent District, Balkh Province. He completed his seminary education in the Hawzas of Qom and Mashhad in [[Iran]] and studied under teachers such as [[Hossein-Ali Montazeri|Hossein-Ali Montazeri]] and [[Fazel Lankarani]].&lt;br /&gt;

His political activity began in 1357 SH. He was a member of the Fedaian Islam Organization in Afghanistan, and in 1361 SH, by joining four other political organizations (Islam Maktab Tawhid, Ruhaniyat va Javan Afghanistan, Islamic Movement of the Oppressed of Afghanistan, and Fedaian of the Muslim Ummah of Afghanistan), he established the United Front of the Islamic Revolution of Afghanistan. In this front, he was responsible for cultural affairs.&lt;br /&gt;

In 1367 SH, along with seven other organizations, he founded the Islamic Coalition Council (known as the Eight-Party Council) and was elected as its head and spokesman. After the formation of the [[Hezb-e Wahdat-e Islami Afghanistan]], he held the position of First Secretary of the party&amp;#039;s Political Commission abroad. In 1371 SH, after the fall of the Najibullah government, he returned to Afghanistan and served as Deputy Head of the Decision-Making Council of the Islamic Unity Party. In 1373 SH, he was elected as First Deputy of the Islamic Unity Party, and after the split in this party, he became the head of the Central Council of one of the split factions. Also in the same year, he became a member of the Supreme Leadership Council of the Islamic State of Afghanistan.&lt;br /&gt;

== Executive and Parliamentary Record ==&lt;br /&gt;
Alami Balkhi served as Minister of Commerce in the Afghan government cabinet from 1374 to 1375 SH. After the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in 1380 SH, he became a member of the Leadership Council of the United Islamic Front for the Salvation of Afghanistan and took responsibility for managing the resistance front in the Balkhab region. After the fall of the Taliban in 1381 SH, he founded the Shia Scholars Council of Afghanistan along with several religious scholars and served as the Head of the Secretariat of this council. In the 1383 SH presidential elections, he entered the election arena as Yunus Qanuni&amp;#039;s running mate. In the same year, he founded the New Afghanistan Party and became its deputy, but after entering parliament, he resigned from membership in this party. Alami Balkhi participated in the fifteenth and sixteenth terms of the Afghan House of Representatives (Wolesi Jirga) elections and managed to enter parliament from the Kabul constituency. His records in parliament include:&lt;br /&gt;
