Khalil al-Hayya was born in November 1960 CE in [[Gaza]].

==Biography==
He is married and has seven children, two of whom, named Usama al-Hayya and Hamza al-Hayya, were [[Martyrdom|martyred]] in Israeli attacks. He was in prison for three years in the early nineties. Israel intended to assassinate him, but he was not present at the location of the attack at the time of the assassination and survived, and as a result of this incident, seven members of his family were killed. Then again in 2014 during the Gaza War, the Israeli enemy attempted to assassinate him again but failed, and another number of his family were martyred. Thus, so far 19 members of his family and relatives have been martyred.
