== Biography ==
Born 1939 AD, in the city of Samannud, one of the western governorates of [[Egypt]], he was a memorizer of the [[Quran]] and continued his education in 1962 AD at the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University, where he also taught. He received his Master's degree from [[Cairo University]] in 1969 AD, then traveled to [[England]] and received his PhD in Management Accounting from the University of Bradford [[England]] in 1976 AD. He returned from England and began working at the Faculty of Commerce, [[Al-Azhar University]], where he took charge of the Accounting Department and became interested in Islamic Economics there, becoming one of the pioneers of his time in this field. He taught the sciences of Islamic Accounting Thought and Zakat Accounting at Arab and Islamic universities and participated in many international conferences and seminars in the fields of accounting, Islamic economic thought, [[Zakat]], Islamic banks, Islamic investment companies, and Waqf.
