Hassan Hathout was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Egypt.

Biography
He was born on 23 December 1924, Tuesday 26 Jumada al-Awwal 1343 AH in the city of Shibin al-Kom, Monufia Governorate, Egypt. His father was an English language teacher and a good poet, and during his son's trip to Palestine in 1948 AD, he composed some verses. After finishing his elementary education in Shibin al-Kom, he went with his entire family to Cairo to study secondary education near his uncle there, then went to the Faculty of Medicine at Fuad I University (current Cairo University). After completing his studies in medicine, he specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and successfully obtained a specialized diploma in general practice. He received a PhD and then a fellowship from England in embryology and worked for one year at Demerdash Hospital in Cairo and then in the rural department in the suburbs of Mansoura, Egypt.
He says about himself: I am a lovable person and I love love. I believe that if Christianity truly relies on the phrase "God is love" it will succeed, also I see that God when addressing His Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), summarized all Islam in two words and said to Him: "وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلاَّ رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ"; And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds.
In 1941 AD, he joined the Muslim Brotherhood by the hand of its founder Imam Hassan al-Banna and was greatly influenced by him and participated in activities and student movements through the student movement.

He says: Throughout high school I had an Islamic tendency, which is why I started reading Islam on my own, even the school sermons took on an Islamic form until I entered the Faculty of Medicine and visited Hassan al-Banna, he had a reasonable and very attractive personality.

Most of them were injured and the military leadership wanted to execute them by shooting, he told them: "On my corpse" and addressed to them the position of Islam regarding prisoners. He treated the injured among them until they returned and the Jews knew this status and praised it in their newspapers. After returning from Palestine, he was imprisoned for about a year in the "Haikstep" detention center and during this period he was subjected to torture and beating.
