He joined the movement in 1945 AD upon the invitation of the [[Muslim Brotherhood]] in Damanhur, Beheira Governorate. He married and [[God]] granted him 6 children, 17 grandchildren. He says regarding the honor of membership in the Muslim Brotherhood's call: "If it were not for the virtue of the Muslim Brotherhood's call upon me, I would have forgotten the ''Quran'' and sat alone in my house, without brothers or faith bonds or advocacy among the people, and my role would have been limited to my profession and the walls of my house".<br />
